Brand Identity and Website.
Branding. Logo. Website Development.
The ECELC researches and develops reports about early learning and care (ELC) issues in Edmonton that are used to inform the ELC community. The community includes service providers, child care workers, child care providers, parents, and policymakers. The Council required a new website to better inform and educate these key audiences and the general public. The site needed to provide a list of relevant resources and current statistics for the ELC community. Additionally, a space to publish new reports and briefs was required and should be easily editable by ECELC Staff.
Through collaboration over several design concepts, a full brand identity was developed and applied to various brand collateral pieces needed by the council. Once the brand identity was completed, the defined styles were applied to the website design. The site allows easy navigation to access recently published reports by the council, searchable archives for all reports, and information about the Council itself, including the terms of reference and guiding principles. An image carousel was applied to the homepage to display various infographics that illustrate the latest data available for the ELC community in Edmonton. To ensure easy access to this information, strong SEO was developed for the site with key words being used in creating headlines, phrases and page descriptions.
