The Edmonton Public Library submitted our Read Talk Play program for a number of awards earlier this year, and we recently found out that we won two awards.
The Summit International Awards (SIA) hosted a Creative Award competition and awarded us Silver in the poster campaign category for EPL‘s Babies, Toddlers, and Preschoolers posters, and Bronze in the book category for “100 Books to Read Together”.
SIA received thousands of submissions from 22 countries and the panel of judges who selected the pieces as winners included professionals from creative agencies, universities, web firms, consulting firms and communications networks from around the world.
The EPL Read.Talk.Play. program was also a co-winner of the Canadian Library Trustees Association’s Stan Heath Achievement Award for Literacy. This award focuses on the literacy effect of an initiative.
